Amazing Interns helps recruit and retain new talent by introducing college interns to Amazing Columbus during the summer. The 6-week program highlights the regions opportunities for employment and features highlights of living, working, and playing that prove We Do Amazing.
Summer internships for college students have been impacted due to COVID-19. The 2020 program will be a shortened 4-week virtual program providing access to professional development, networking, and fun to summer college interns working with a Columbus area company or local college juniors and seniors without an internship for this summer. This program is FREE and can be done 100% online.
SUMMER 2020 SCHEDULE
The Chamber partners with local professionals and community leaders to offer highly topical and interesting sessions designed with college juniors and seniors in mind as they prepare for the workforce.
WEEK 1: PROGRAM KICK OFF

7/7 6-7 PM: Virtual Professional Development Session -“Succeeding in a Virtual Workplace” including Do's and Don'ts of virtual meetings, and establishing and maintaining a professional presence online.

Perks of the program include a free Young Professionals membership for the summer, Tuesday Trivia night on Instagram, and additional opportunities for one-on-one and small group mentoring sessions based on intern's individual interests. Local students can participate in a Columbus icons scavenger hunt, take-out BINGO for prizes.
