Chattahoochee Valley Libraries
The Chattahoochee Valley Libraries are a seven-branch system that serves more than 250,000 residents in four counties: Muscogee, Chattahoochee, Marion, and Stewart. The Library system is the most widely used cultural institution in the region, with more than 120,000 people currently holding library cards. The branches run their interlibrary loan system throughout the four counties, and residents can apply for a card that grants them access to the circulation’s 412,000 book collection.
Columbus Public Library
Completed in 2005, the Columbus Public Library is one of the “10 Most Beautiful Libraries in Georgia” according to the Georgia Public Library Service. It’s the second-largest library in the state, spanning 100,000 square feet, and features a Grand Reading room, an outdoor garden, and a story time-space where children can participate in many activities.
Harris County Public Library
The Harris County Public Library is part of the Troup-Harris Regional Library system that serves over 150,000 visitors each year from Troup and Harris Counties. The library offers access to a collection of more than 10 million books and other materials through PINES, a statewide lending consortium.
Phenix City Library
While trends and technology have changed greatly in the 60+ years since its establishment, The Phenix City-Russell County Library strives to offer a variety of services, including research and learning opportunities, to both its patrons and to the public at large.
